BOSTON BLACKIE TV SERIES 1951-1952
Kent Taylor starred in this Ziv produced half-hour TV series The Adventures of Boston Blackie. Syndicated in 1951, it ran for 58 episodes, continuing in repeats over the following decade. Lois Collier appeared as the inevitable love interest and Frank Orth as the perpetually exasperated Lt. Farraday.
Boston Blackie was set in Los Angeles, and the character enjoyed the use of several exotic sports cars as he battled on behalf of those who have no friends. Whitey was the precocious dog.
Most episodes end with a fast paced chase scene where Blackie races to catch the bad guy.
This is a great series and the quality is quite good considering the rare nature
and age of this series.
A few of the episodes are below our usual standards for quality being more of a 6 of 10.
