DICK POWELL THEATRE - CLASSIC TV SHOWS - 1961 to 1963

Powell served as host and, in early shows at least, occasional star
in this dramatic anthology. This hour long series always featured top
name stars and often in roles unique to them like the dramatic
appearance of Milton Berle.



It was also the series the first introduced the show in which Powell
starred as Adam Burke in the pilot for BURKE'S LAW. Unfortunately
it was a short lived series as because Powell developed deadly
cancer in his last season, many episodes were hosted by guest hosts
like Frank Sinatra, Henry Fonda and many other stars who came in
as a tribute a this great star. It was his last television series and
contained his last filmed acting.

The quality of this very rare set varies but most episodes are good to
excellent....and a few are slightly below par but more then watchable.
