The Garry Moore
Show
The Garry Moore Show is the name for the American variety series on
the CBS television network in the 1950s and 1960s. Hosted by
experienced radio performer, Garry Moore, the series helped launch
the careers of many comedic talents. The Garry Moore Show garnered a
number of Emmy nominations and wins.
In 1958, Moore returned in the fall with a weekly hour-long evening
series, with the same title and similar format. Derwood Kirby, long
time friend, was the announcer with regulars Carol Burnett and
Marian Loren. Each show ended with a recap segment called "That
Wonderful Year." This was one of the most successful variety shows
in early television.
Through rare old 16 MM prints we have been able to locate 10 of
those old shows….three of them are half hour segments and they
feature a variety of great name guests including Barbara Streisand,
Boris Karloff, Peter Lawford and many more. Due to the rare nature
of this series the quality will vary from 7.5 to 8
